The National Police have put into practice different devices in the leisure areas and beaches of the tourist towns of Tenerife to guarantee compliance with the health measures on COVID-19, also in the night time slots.
In this way, during the past week, in the Tenerife capital the agents carried out foot patrols at the closing time of the establishments to prevent groups of young people from making bottles in the areas of Anaga Avenue and the Maritime Park. There, the agents proposed for sanction 35 people for different breaches of the COVID regulations.
Likewise, it is noteworthy the 52 proposals made in the town of La Laguna and the 38 in Puerto de la Cruz-Los Realejos, 33 of them were for a serious offense, as they were consuming alcohol in a group of more than 10 people.
In the south of Tenerife, Adeje and Arona, the presence and action of the police has prevented several concentrations of citizens who wanted to meet to perform “bottle”.
In the rest of the localities, respect for sanitary measures was significant after the closure of leisure establishments.
70% of the proposals have been for not using the mask when it is mandatory.
The actions have been carried out by national police officers of the Provincial Police Station of Santa Cruz de Tenerife in collaboration with agents of the Local Police Corps of the different affected localities.
