Candelaria appears as a “leading” municipality in the use of Tenerife Bonds as a formula to promote local consumption. Until yesterday, the Cabildo de Tenerife, through the area of Employment, Socioeconomic Development and Foreign Action, developed this initiative with the aim of continuing to encourage consumption and sales of small businesses on the Island during the first days of the sales.
At bonotenerife.es, consumers had vouchers worth 15 euros for the hotel industry and 10 euros for retailers and service providers. They had to spend them in the establishments of the Island paying only half. For this first edition, the Cabildo activated a total of 32,133 consumer vouchers: 12,854 for use in hospitality venues and 19,279 for use in retail stores and service providers.
