Work to condition 40 kilometers of the Autopista del Sur (TF-1) continues, for the second consecutive week, on a 12.6-kilometre section that covers the municipalities of Granadilla de Abona and Arico and in the direction of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The works began last night and will continue until Friday, from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., to reduce as much as possible the inconvenience to road users.

The island councilor for Roads, Enrique Arriaga, reports that “80% of the intermediate layer of the motorway has been completed in both directions.” At the same time, remember that eight of the estimated 14 months of work have been completed to complete this action on the TF-1 between Adeje and Arico.

The resurfacing will extend from kilometer point 58.6 to 46. Link 46 (Tajao-Environmental Complex) will be affected until early Tuesday morning. During Wednesday night, links 57 (San Isidro-Granadilla-El Médano) and 59 (South Airport) will be closed, as well as links 51 and 52 (Granadilla Industrial Estate, Accesses A and B) on Thursday night , January 21st.

From Sunday to Tuesday night, traffic to Santa Cruz from Tajao or the Environmental Complex must merge south to Junction 51 (Granadilla Industrial Estate, Access A) and make a U-turn.

From early Wednesday morning, those who travel to Santa Cruz and need to access the Airport must make the U-turn at the San Isidro junction (57). In the case of vehicles that want to access San Isidro, Granadilla or El Médano, they will have to continue to Junction 52 (Granadilla Industrial Estate, Access B) to change direction.

In addition, drivers who have to go to the capital from the Airport must drive towards Adeje until link 62 (Los Abrigos-San Miguel-Las Galletas) to materialize the change of direction.

During the early hours of Thursday, those who want to access the Granadilla Industrial Estate will be able to do so if they continue to junction 49 (Chimiche-El Río-Las Maretas), change direction and return to junctions 51 or 52.

Finally, the vehicles that want to move from the Granadilla Industrial Estate to Santa Cruz must join the TF-1 in the direction of the Tenerife Sur Airport until the San Isidro junction and make the change of direction.
