The Town Hall of El Sauzal The year 2022 begins with the start-up of works to improve safety in the surroundings of the two public schools in the municipality, the infant and primary education centers Samoga and Our Lady of the Angelss. The Northern Consistory allocates to these actions an item of 300,000 euros.

The mayor of El Sauzal, Mariano Perez (CC), details that in the samoga school, in the center of the municipality, recently began the construction of an adapted sidewalk around the center, which will increase comfort and safety when students enter and exit. In Our Lady of the Angels School, located in the Ravelo neighbourhood, began with the setback in the children’s area also to gain security.

From the direction of the CEIP Samoga, the importance of some works that serve for the progressive improvement of a center built in 1983, and inaugurated in 1985, is highlighted. After the elimination of architectural barriers and the improvement of safety in the surrounding sidewalks, from the center have also requested additional improvements, such as the project to change the location of the current kitchen and dining room, “to take it to an area outside the main building to gain more space as classrooms, since enrollment has been increasing in recent years. From the usual 14 or 15 units, since 2015 it has progressively increased to 20”. With these actions that are underway “the accessibility of a center that had many architectural barriers is being improved, which will allow students with functional diversity to be admitted in the future”, as well as adapting the exterior pavements so that families and students gain in comfort and safety.

Other future projects for the CEIP Samoga they are the direct access to that future kitchen and dining room, without passing through the main building, or the new paving of the sports field, which is currently quite deteriorated. In addition, the Sauza City Council plans to improve the pavement in several areas of both centers with artificial grass.
