A helicopter from the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) has rescued this Friday a 72-year-old woman injured after suffering a fall while hiking in Altos de Teno, in the municipality of Buenavista del Norte.
The events occurred after 1:00 p.m. when the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert informing that a woman had suffered a fall while hiking and could not continue the March.
Once the area where the affected woman was located, in a place near the La Ermita trail, rescuers from the GES helicopter accessed the hiker and, after providing her with initial assistance, evacuated her to the La Guancha helipad with a lower limb trauma.
Once on land, SUC personnel assisted the victim and transferred her to the Hospital del Norte.
