CC considers that there is a contradiction in the measure taken by the government group chaired by Pedro Martín ”because it allows the full capacity of the buses on the longest journeys, which is when the travelers spend more time together and, consequently, there is more risk of contagion ”.
However, on urban routes, which are shorter than intercity routes, only 75% are allowed. “There is a discrepancy between the Government of the Canary Islands and the Cabildo and it is necessary that the criteria be unified and the health interest prevail over the economic one,” the nationalists point out.
For the CC-PNC group in the Cabildo, “we are facing a decision that has generated confusion and discomfort in travelers.” The nationalists believe that “it is necessary to reduce the capacity of the buses that cover interurban routes to at least 75% and it would even be convenient for it to be 50%.” In this sense, they add that “this way it would be necessary to increase the services and frequencies of the buses, in such a way that the population and TITSA workers can move safely on public transport.”
More trackers

The nationalists emphasize that “the tracing of close contacts has been interrupted because there is a lack of personnel, as recognized by the doctors themselves, and that is something that hurts Tenerife.” CC recalls that last summer he proposed 22 measures to combat the pandemic, among which was to improve the pattern of trackers, with an increase in existing resources on the Island that includes the incorporation of resources from the Army and other entities ”. He also advocated improving the protocolization of the trails and unifying them between the different islands.
