The update of the list of property applicants of the Government of the Canary Islands is delaying the raffle of the apartments, already finished

The 44 houses in El Tablero, the first that the Santa Cruz City Council has built in decades, are now ready to be handed over. Before that, the Municipal Housing area will have to make a draw for them among the groups that have been determined as priorities, a draw that is only waiting for the Government of the Canary Islands to update the list of housing applicants in the capital, “So that it is the most current possible and everyone has the option of entering it,” explained to DIARIO DE AVISOS, the area councilor, Juan José Martínez.

“From the Canarian Housing Institute (Icavi) they have informed us that it is likely that on February 15 they will have fully digitized all the data of the plaintiffs, which are about 900. As soon as we have that list, in the City Council we already have everything ready to do the raffle the day after having the update, and proceed to the delivery of the houses, with which we hope that in March we can be delivering the keys “, explained the mayor.

“From the IMAS they have already sent us the data of the different priority groups to include them in the draw,” added Martínez. These quotas are identified with single mothers with children, women victims of gender violence, young people or people with disabilities, among others. “We have very good communication with Icavi so we hope to go as quickly as possible with the delivery,” added the also councilor for the Treasury.
The project is made up of 44 homes with their garages and officially protected storage rooms, divided into 3 blocks: block 1 and 2 consisting of 16 homes each and block 3, with 12 buildings. The flats are, for the most part, two bedrooms (35), although there are also five one, two three and two with four bedrooms. All have a living room, kitchen, utility room and a bathroom. The investment made represents more than 3.5 million, of which 1.2 are from a direct grant nominated from Icavi.

Heritage

The Councilor for Housing confirmed to DIARIO DE AVISOS that he will once again take over the Heritage area of the Santa Cruz City Council, specifically, of the smaller interventions, mainly maintenance. “Infrastructures will continue to take charge of major interventions in municipal heritage, such as the Masonic Temple or the Viera y Clavijo, while we resumed the maintenance of schools, which, for example, was in the area of Public Services, or the works to perform in municipal venues “, explained Martínez.
