The Socialist Group also presents initiatives to demand that the Canary Islands join the State Pact against climate emergency; measures to secure jobs for temporary teachers in the Canary Islands; and the current state of roads in Tenerife.
The Socialist Parliamentary Group will present various initiatives at the Plenary Session of the Canary Islands Parliament on Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24. These include the situation of public healthcare, the evolution of health waiting lists, the measures proposed by the Canary Island Government to improve access to housing, and a request for the Canary Islands to join the State Pact against climate emergency.
The Socialist Group will ask the Presidency of the Government for its assessment of the state of public healthcare and a question will be directed to the Vice President and Minister of Economy, Industry, Commerce, and Self-Employed regarding forecasts for improving housing access in the Canary Islands.
Additionally, they will inquire with the Minister of Education, Vocational Training, Physical Activity, and Sports about actions taken to guarantee employment for temporary teachers in the Canary Islands following the stabilisation process, as well as the situation at the IES Garoé in El Hierro after the establishment of the CIFP at the beginning of the academic year.
The Socialist Group will also question the Ministry of Health about the evolution of the staff stabilisation processes within the Canary Health Service (SCS).
Further inquiries will be made to the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Energy regarding the Government’s decision on the emergency plants in Tigaiga, Los Realejos, and Salinetas in Telde. The Ministry of Social Welfare, Equality, Youth, Childhood, and Families will also be questioned about the impact of delays in grant allocation resolutions in the Third Sector, which supports social care programmes, leaving them uncertain about receiving the necessary funding.
Moreover, the Socialist Group will present a report to the Minister of Public Works, Housing, and Mobility regarding the current state of roads in Tenerife, along with another report to the Government about measures for wealth redistribution in the Canary Islands.
The Socialist Group will also submit another report to the Ministry of Health concerning the progression of health waiting lists.
In addition, the Socialist Group is putting forward an interpellation to the Ministry of Public Works, Housing, and Mobility regarding the Government’s objectives in mobility planning for the main roads on the island of Gran Canaria.
Additionally, a motion will be presented following a Socialist interpellation concerning the aims and improvements proposed for the services provided by Canary Health Management concerning emergency management and monitoring in the Canary Islands.
Finally, the Socialist Group presents a Non-Law Proposition (PNL) to demand that the Canary Islands join the State Pact against the climate emergency.
