Controversy Surrounds Property Manager Arrested in Tenerife
Roberto Cristian Pérez Aguilar, manager of the Canarian eviction company Ez Property Solutions, has raised eyebrows following his arrest earlier this week in Granadilla, a southern municipality of Tenerife. He was detained on allegations of coercion and threats against law enforcement officers, as well as refusing to provide identification.
Details of the Arrest
Pérez Aguilar was apprehended alongside another employee of the firm, who reportedly assaulted a Civil Guard officer, according to police sources close to the investigation, speaking to Atlántico Hoy. Following their arrest, both individuals were taken to the police station for identification and were subsequently released.
Message via Social Media
The owner of Ez Property Solutions shared a message in a TikTok video recorded from inside the property he was attempting to evict when he was detained. “You forced the squatters to report me… It’s recovered, boss,” he states in the video. He further claims, “How can you accuse me of an attack on authority when I didn’t touch you, and you shackled me?”
Allegations Against Ez Property Solutions
According to police reports, Pérez Aguilar’s arrest followed months of complaints from Granadilla residents regarding the aggressive methods and coercion allegedly employed by Ez Property Solutions in their attempts to evict tenants, for which they charge several thousand euros.
Concerns from Authorities
While entry was never denied to any law enforcement officers at these properties, authorities have reported instances of prior insults and threats leading up to the arrest. Furthermore, sources indicate that individuals connected to Pérez Aguilar have attempted to reach out to family members and associates of the arresting officers to gather information about them.
