Tenerife Allocates €3 Million for Scholarships for Students with Special Needs

Funding Announcement

The Cabildo of Tenerife has allocated a sum of three million euros for scholarships aimed at students with special needs. The announcement of these grants was published on Friday in the Official Bulletin of the Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, with the application period open until 28th November.

Education and Employment Councillor’s Statement

Efraín Medina, the Councillor for Employment and Education, stated that these scholarships are a fundamental tool for ensuring equal opportunities and promoting educational inclusion for all students.

Total Investment of €12 Million

The Cabildo also highlighted that the scholarships for students with special needs are part of a broader funding initiative, with a total investment of 12 million euros. This includes financial assistance for undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral studies, as well as additional scholarships for the Erasmus programme and transport aids.

Breakdown of Allocations

The distribution of funds includes eight million euros designated for university studies, three million euros for students with educational needs, and half a million euros allocated for artistic education and vocational training, respectively.
