SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 11 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Presidents of the Canary Islands and Euskadi, Fernando Clavijo and Imanol Pradales, respectively, have formalised an alliance this Thursday advocating for “useful politics and the common good” in the face of “noise” and “polarisation” at the national level.
Both leaders signed a cooperation protocol for the development of joint initiatives in the field of R&D+i and reiterated their demand for the central government to implement a “comprehensive plan” for managing immigration.
“We will continue to work responsibly and proactively until the State fulfils its duties,” Pradales stated during a joint press conference, emphasising that immigration is a “challenge of enormous magnitude” and institutions cannot “turn a blind eye.”
