The Iconic Giraldillo: A New Adventure Awaits
The unmistakable Giraldillo, the grand bronze sculpture that crowns La Giralda in Seville, takes centre stage in Binter’s latest Instagram post. The message reads: “Every detail tells a story… and we are about to share the next one. Get ready to take off for a new destination soon.” The Canary airline is poised to announce a new route, and while further details regarding schedules, frequency, and departure airports are still pending, all signs point to Andalusia’s capital. A distinctive flamenco guitar serves as the soundtrack to the publication, leaving no room for doubt.
More Routes to Andalusia
Binter currently offers connections to several other Andalusian airports, with Jerez (Cádiz) being the closest to Seville. There are also links to Granada, Córdoba, and Almería. The airline is in the midst of expanding its routes to the mainland. Just a few days ago, they revealed intentions to acquire some routes that Ryanair will vacate upon its departure from Tenerife Norte.
New Routes Ahead
In August, the company announced plans to launch daily direct flights to Asturias starting in October 2026, offering 3,696 weekly seats and firm commitments to sustainability for local residents. Starting next month, there will be five weekly flights to each of the two destinations. Subsequently, from the end of March to the end of October 2026, there will be direct flights six days a week to each island.
