Moderate Drowning Incident Involving Five-Year-Old in Adeje
A five-year-old child experienced a moderate incomplete drowning this Thursday in a swimming pool at a hotel complex in Adeje, Tenerife, as reported by 1-1-2 Canarias.
The incident occurred around 11:21 hours, when the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received a notification regarding the rescue of a child displaying symptoms of drowning from the swimming pool of a hotel in the southern part of the island.
Emergency personnel from the SUC attended to the affected child upon arrival, who, at the initial moment of assistance, exhibited signs of moderate drowning. After stabilising the child, they were transported by ambulance to Hospiten Sur.
The Local Police of Adeje have undertaken the necessary procedures concerning the incident.
