The Garachico Town Council, located in the north of Tenerife, reopened the natural swimming pools at El Caletón on Wednesday afternoon after new analyses indicated “suitable levels for bathing.”
The council had initially closed the area on Tuesday upon detecting high levels of the faecal bacteria E. Coli.
This decision was made following the results of routine sampling in the area.
