The heavy fog at the Tenerife North-La Laguna City airport on Saturday, 17 August, prevented the landing of several flights, which were diverted to Tenerife South-Reina Sofía airport. By the time of this edition, nine flights had already been diverted, according to Aena.
Tenerife North-La Laguna City airport had to activate Low Visibility Procedures (LVP) due to the adverse weather conditions affecting the area.
Due to the heavy fog, aircraft had difficulty landing at the airport, although the low visibility did not affect any of the scheduled departures, as reported by Aena.
