Antonio Alberto Delgado, president of the Association of People Affected by Red Eléctrica de Tenerife (Asafrete), announces the request that “responsibilities be investigated and clarified, if applicable, of the actions of the Ministry of the Environment and the Land Management Commission and the Environment of the Canary Islands ”in the process that authorized the layout of the high voltage power lines from Caletillas to Geneto.

The objective of the group was to prevent a turret from being placed affecting the El Picacho mountain (Barranco Hondo), “causing a visual impact.” On March 2, 2015, he assures, the Ministry of the Environment and Cotmac launched the project when “the environmental impact report prepared by the company itself, REE, warns of the visual impact that this tower is going to cause.” Asafrete has also requested the protection of the Common Deputy.
