Two motorcycle riders critically injured in an accident in Tenerife taken to hospital

Two young men, aged 21 and 19, who were on a motorbike, have been taken to hospital in critical condition after a traffic accident on Avenida Benito Pérez Ármas, near the municipal swimming pool in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, according to the 1-1-2 emergency services in the Canary Islands.

The incident occurred around 6:22 AM, when the Coordinating Centre for Emergency and Security (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert reporting that a car and a motorbike had collided and that the occupants of the latter required medical assistance.

Upon arrival, the personnel from SUC assessed the victims. A 21-year-old man and a 19-year-old man were found to have serious polytrauma at the initial stage of assistance, and once stabilised, they were transported in critical condition to the Universitary Hospital of the Canary Islands and the Universitary Hospital Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria, respectively.

The local police completed the relevant report.
