Firefighters rescued a 40-year-old man in the early hours of this Sunday who suffered moderate injuries from smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in a house on Isla de Tenerife street, in the municipality of Adeje, as reported by 1-1-2 Canarias.
The incident occurred around 2:00 a.m. when the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Canary Islands received an alert reporting a fire in the kitchen of a house in the south of the island.
Emergency services rescued the affected individual from inside the property, where he was found semi-conscious.
The personnel from SUC assessed the man, who at the initial moment of assistance showed moderate intoxication, barring complications, from smoke inhalation, and he was transported by ambulance to the Southern Hospital.
Subsequently, they extinguished the flames and ventilated the property.
The local police intervened in the evacuation of the occupants of the building where the fire-affected house is located.
The police units activated by the Coordination Centre secured the area and carried out the relevant procedures.
