A 12-year-old boy has been seriously injured after having an accident on his bicycle and falling from several metres in height on the El Moñigal path in La Laguna (Tenerife), according to the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre 1-1-2 of the Canary Islands.
The incident occurred at around 20:46 hours in that location, where emergency services from the Tenerife Fire Consortium arrived and accessed the child to proceed with his rescue.
Subsequently, personnel from the Canary Island Emergency Service (SUC) confirmed that the boy had sustained various serious injuries, and once stabilised, he was transferred by ambulance to the University Hospital Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria.
Local Police officers also arrived at the scene of the incident to carry out the corresponding procedures.
