TLP Tenerife 2025, the technology and entertainment event of Canaries, set an attendance record with over 70,000 visits at the Tenerife Exhibition Centre. The event, sponsored by the Insular Council of Tenerife through the Tenerife Scientific and Technological Park (PCTT), hosted from 15th to 20th July over 200 activities attended by thousands of fans of video games, anime, comics, K-Pop, cosplay, crafts, influencers, Japanese culture, and LAN Party. There were also workshops, talks, and meetings among industry professionals discussing future challenges.

The president of the Council, Rosa Dávila, emphasised the importance of TLP Tenerife “which has established itself as the main technology event in the Canaries and one of the leading events nationally.” In this regard, the date for the twentieth anniversary of TLP Tenerife was announced, which will take place from 14th to 19th July 2026.

For his part, the councillor for Innovation, Juan José Martínez, noted “the excellent organisation and the reception from the public, sponsors, and participants. Without a doubt, the bar is set very high for the twentieth edition, but I am convinced that we will achieve our objectives thanks to the efforts of the entire TLP Tenerife team.”

On the closing day, the final of the Cosplay competition took place, which included, alongside Martínez, the presence of the Youth and Training councillor, Serafín Mesa; and the island director of Natural Resources, Pedro Millán; the project director of the Tenerife Sports Club, Artamy Rodríguez Plata; and the director and deputy director of TLP Tenerife, Idaira Febles and Julia Palenzuela, respectively.

In the individual category, the first prize went to Yuki Ichiro with a cosplay of ‘Guts’, the protagonist of the famous manga ‘Berserk’; while in the duo category, the first position was awarded to Cass and Freda, who cosplayed as characters ‘Azura and Zuko’ from the animated series ‘Avatar: the Last Airbender’.

During the day, awards were also given for the selective collection of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), an initiative aimed at raising awareness about the environmental issues of this waste and promoting its proper separation and management through a fun, educational, and participatory experience. Aitor Fernández was the person who deposited the most waste, while Kiliam Hernández won the electric scooter raffle.
