Around 1,000 residents are left without water in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

La calle Castillo, perhaps the most iconic in Santa Cruz de Tenerife due to its shops and pedestrian background, will be without water for at least four hours, according to a communication on social media from Emmasa, the company that manages this service in the municipality.

The breakdown in the water supply network affects around 1,000 people, explains the Councillor for Public Services, Carlos Tarife, who has also used his social media profiles to inform the citizens about the incident.

The interruption of service in the main potable water network occurs in the city centre, particularly affecting residents and businesses on Castillo, Cruz Verde, and Imeldo Serís streets.

Emmasa estimates that the cut will last approximately four hours, with expectations to restore supply from 1:00 PM. In the meantime, those in need of water will have to use reserve containers.
