The gala of the National Gastronomy Awards of DIARIO DE AVISOS, held this past Monday at the Theatre of El Sauzal, marks a historic milestone as it celebrates its 40th edition, making it the oldest awards given by a Spanish media outlet.
These recognitions, awarded by the DIARIO DE AVISOS Foundation, have become a national reference by honouring talent, dedication, effort, and commitment to sustainability and local produce.

In this edition, the jury, chaired by José Luis Conde, awarded the Manuel Iglesias prize to Miguel Navarro, born on the island of La Gomera, chef of the Es Fum restaurant (Palma de Mallorca), presented to him by Conde. The #ConsumeCanario award went to El Secreto de Chimiche (Granadilla de Abona), by chef Diana Marcelino, who received it from the hands of Eduardo García Cabello, Deputy Minister of the Primary Sector of the Government of the Canary Islands.

The director of the Repsol Guide, María Ritter, received the award for Best Promotion of Gastronomy, delivered to her by Carmen Pérez, CEO of the Development Society of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
