A 30-year-old hiker has sustained moderate injuries after suffering an accident on Tuesday in the Flandes ravine, in the Tenerife municipality of La Laguna, reported the 1-1-2 Canarias.
The incident occurred at 1:26 PM, at which point the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert requesting medical assistance for a hiker who had sustained a fall and was showing injuries that prevented him from continuing his walk.
The affected individual had to be rescued by personnel from the Tenerife Fire Consortium, who transported him to the SUC ambulance, where the staff took over his medical assistance and transfer to a healthcare facility.
At the initial moment of assistance, the man presented with moderate trauma to his lower limb, and he was taken by ambulance to the La Laguna-Mercedes Health Centre.
