Reyes with geolocation for the five cavalcades of Santa Cruz
José Manuel Bermúdez and Alfonso Cabello presented the delegations yesterday at the Valleseco coal warehouses. FP

They will start at six in the afternoon and the Santa Cruz City Council promises that, this year, the parades of the Kings that will parade through each of the five districts will go at a slow enough speed so that children can enjoy the passage of Sus Majesties “Last year we had a curfew at ten o’clock at night, so we had to go a bit faster. This year the speed will be about 15 kilometers per hour and we have one more parade, that of Anaga, so all the children of the municipality will be able to see the Kings, ”the mayor, José Manuel Bermúdez, explained yesterday. In addition, this year, the royal walks will be geolocated, so that on the page www.reyesmagosensantacruz.com you can check the route of the Kings and the exact point where they are. “That will avoid crowds and waiting,” said Bermúdez.

Before the five parades begin, which will start at six in the afternoon, the Kings will arrive at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López stadium, by helicopter. There, without an audience, the mayor and the party councilor, Alfonso Cabello, will deliver the magic key that opens all the doors of the municipality. RTVC will broadcast the reception show to Their Majesties and entitled Las Factories de Juguetes de Babayán.

Starting at 6:00 p.m., five royal groups will tour the main streets and avenues of Santa Cruz. The routes of the districts Centro-Ifara, Salud-La Salle, Ofra-Costa Sur and Southwest will be made up of three floats decorated with lighting and music from which Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar will greet the people who congregate on the route. The convoy closes with a truck loaded with gifts.

In Anaga, the Three Wise Men will visit the different towns, neighborhoods and hamlets in a convertible minibus, which will also be accompanied by a truck full of gifts. The routes of each of the delegates will be communicated on the social networks of the Autonomous Organism for Festivities and Recreational Activities (Oafar), as well as on the website www.reyesmagosensantacruz.com.

Southwest

The most extensive route will be that of the Southwest District that will pass through more than 40 streets, starting from the San Francisco de Paula highway with Lezcano street to continue to Los Majuelos avenue, La Gallega, El Sobradilo, Barranco Grande, El Tablero, Santa María del Mar, Acorán and Añaza.

Health-La Salle

The real procession of Salud-La Salle de Santa Cruz de Tenerife has a route similar to that of the traditional Cavalcade of the Magi, although some more streets have been included, in total, more than twenty. It will depart from Madrid avenue, continuing along Belgium avenue. The journey will pass through most of the downtown neighborhoods, ending in the La Alegría neighborhood.

Ofra-South Coast

In this district, the Parade will start from the Vistabella Viewpoint and will go through fifteen streets. Since the route in this case is shorter than the rest of the groups, it will be done twice. From Vistabella you will advance to Las Delicias, Las Retamas, Las Moraditas, Miramar, Tío Pino, Somosierra and Los Gladiolos.

Center-Ifara

The parade will start from Los Campitos and will go through thirty streets. From Los Campitos you will go to the La Salud neighborhood, from there to the Cruz del Señor, Cuesta Piedra to fly to the Cruz del Señor and finish in the La Granja park.

Anaga

Los Reyes to Anaga will arrive by minibus, necessary to face the steep slopes and narrow streets. They will leave from Taborno, to continue on the TF-138 towards Roque Negro, visit Afur, Casas de la Cumbre, Taganana, Almáciga, San Andrés, El Suculum, Igueste San Andrés, Cueva Bermeja, María Jiménez, and Valleseco.
