The Hotel Botánico & The Oriental Spa Garden will reopen its doors on 15 July after undergoing a comprehensive renovation that has significantly enhanced a key part of its facilities. In this way, the five-star luxury hotel in northern Tenerife continues to solidify its position as a benchmark in the tourism sector.
The renovation, which kept the hotel closed for two months, is the third to be carried out since the pandemic. “Our commitment to quality and constant innovation is one of the hallmarks of our company’s businesses. This renovation will help us maintain the trust and affection we have had with our guests for over half a century,” explained Wolfgang Kiessling, president of the Loro Parque Group.
“With these improvements, we want to continue perfecting the sense of luxury, closeness, and well-being for our clients. An experience that we achieve thanks to the quality of our facilities and the friendly and welcoming service from our professionals. A perfect combination that keeps our guests choosing us as their home in this paradise where we are fortunate to live,” Mr. Kiessling stated.
During the institutional visit, the mayor of Puerto de la Cruz, Leopoldo Afonso, and the councillor for Tourism, Desirée Díaz, were accompanied by the Kiessling family to assess the progress and improvements in the different areas of the hotel, among which stand out a thorough remodelling of the rooms and significant changes in the restaurant La Parrilla.
The double rooms, now converted into superior rooms, feature 38 square metres, bathrooms with Italian marble, state-of-the-art technology, and private terraces with ocean views. The Ambassador Junior Suites have also been expanded and enhanced, offering an unmatched level of comfort and exclusivity.
All this complements the hotel’s major attractions, such as its 25,000 square metres of subtropical gardens, its extensive art collection, and The Oriental Spa Garden, which has been awarded seven times as the Best Spa Hotel in Europe and the Mediterranean by Condé Nast Johansens.
The mayor, Leopoldo Afonso, highlighted during his visit that “this hotel has been a benchmark for luxury for decades and has hosted numerous renowned individuals. We applaud the investments made by the Kiessling family in the municipality, recognising their ongoing effort to elevate the tourism level in our city and to establish ourselves as one of the most important tourism powerhouses in Spain.”
The mayor also stated that hotel occupancy expectations for the port city this summer “are very high, reaching between 90% and 93%, supported by events organised by the City Council to enhance the municipality’s tourism appeal and encourage visitors to return.”
The positive reviews from guests have placed the Hotel Botánico & The Oriental Spa Garden in a privileged position within the industry, being recently recognised by Tripadvisor’s Traveller’s Choice Awards as one of the best hotels in the world, in addition to receiving accolades from prestigious entities such as TUI, British Airways, Jet2 Holidays, Apollo, and HolidayCheck.
On the occasion of the Cook Music Festival, which will bring international artists like Jennifer López, Gloria Estefan, and Sebastián Yatra to Tenerife, the hotel will offer its guests an exclusive experience. Thanks to this collaboration, all clients of Hotel Botánico will be able to enjoy complimentary tickets to the festival, depending on the duration of their stay, booking until 31 October. Additionally, guests will have access to the exclusive Loro Parque Group VIP Zone. Although the VIP tickets are already sold out, it is still possible to experience this unique opportunity by booking a room at the hotel, which will guarantee access to this exclusive area.
