Low Visibility Disrupts Operations at Tenerife North, Flights Diverted

Low Visibility Affects Tenerife North Airport

Poor visibility on the morning of this Sunday at Tenerife North-Ciudad de La Laguna Airport has forced several flights to divert to alternative airports for safety reasons.

Aena warned through its X account (formerly Twitter) about adverse weather with reduced visibility at the airport and advised passengers to check their flight status with the airline.

According to Air Traffic Controllers on social media, there have also been delays and holds.

It appears nine flights have been affected. Sources from Aena confirmed to Europa Press that two flights from Gran Canaria, one from Lanzarote, another from Valencia, three from Madrid, one from Barcelona, and one from Bilbao have been diverted to Tenerife South.
