The judicial authority has ordered provisional detention, communicated and without bail, for the man arrested as the alleged perpetrator of the murder of his mother in the Tenerife municipality of La Laguna, reported the Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands.
The murder was committed on 4th June, and the detainee appeared this Wednesday before the Court of Instruction number 1 of La Laguna, which has charged him as the alleged perpetrator of a homicide with the aggravating factor of kinship.
The murdered woman was 67 years old, and the accused of her stabbing death is her 44-year-old son, with whom she shared a home on Los Guanches Street in the Barrio Nuevo area of La Laguna. The events occurred around 22.30 on Wednesday when the building’s neighbours alerted the police because a man was running with traces of blood.
When the officers arrived at the scene, the woman’s body, which had several stab wounds, was covered with a blanket.
