Tenerife North Airport has resumed its usual operations after being temporarily shut due to an incident involving an ATR aircraft arriving from La Palma. The plane had to perform an emergency landing, rendering the runway unusable for over 40 minutes.

During the disruption, inter-island flights bound for this airport were halted, and at least two flights were diverted to Tenerife South Airport.

Significant operational delays were recorded for safety reasons, with up to 17 flights scheduled to depart before 11:00 left waiting.

Following the removal of the affected aircraft, air activity at Tenerife North has resumed, and flights are beginning to operate normally.
