The Three Wise Men will land on Mount Teide and use the cable car to descend

The City Council of La Orotava announces that it has already received the letter from the Three Wise Men of the East informing that they will finally visit the municipality on the next day 5 to make direct delivery of gifts and the many illusions that have been requested from all homes.

Their Majesties are scheduled to arrive from the East early in the day. Their landing will take place directly at the peak of Teide and they will use the cable car to descend. Then they will go down the mountain, and through various neighborhoods they will reach San Juan, to continue their way until they reach the City Hall around 08.00 hours, where they will be greeted by the mayor, Francisco Linares, who will give them the magic key that opens all homes from the municipality to distribute the gifts while everyone sleeps.

Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar assure that they really want to share with all the villeros and villeras the emotion and enthusiasm they receive every year, although on this occasion, “in response to the global pandemic, it has been decided again not to carry out the Parade traditional to avoid crowds, and carry out a Royal Walk that will reach all the nuclei of the municipality ”.

The route of the parade, which is scheduled to last around 12 hours, will depart at 09.00 hours from the Doña Chana Cultural Park and will head down Avenida Mercedes Pinto towards Las Cuevas, going through the main streets until reaching the Risco Caído and going up through the Dehesa High towards Los Frontones and La Florida. In this last nucleus, you will travel the Camino de Los Guanches to the Leoncio Estévez Luis School, to go towards Pino Alto, and then to Pinolere.

At around 11:30 a.m. they calculate to reach Aguamansa, and from there head to Cañeño, Camino de Chasna, Benijos and Colombo, to tie again with the TF-21 and descend to Los Pinos. Around 1:00 p.m., the Paseo Real will be in the area of ​​Camino Polo, La Piedad, Rómulo Bethencour and La Torrita until arriving before 2:00 p.m., to Opuntia.

After a break to regain strength, the parade will resume at 4:00 p.m. through the neighborhood of La Vera, crossing Nueva street to Casa Azul, and from there it will depart towards the Polígono San Jerónimo, where it will pass through the central avenue to the Rotunda of San Nicolás with the intention of connecting with the El Mayorazgo urbanization. The Three Wise Men will pass here through Pilar Monteverde, Mayorazgo de Franchy, José de Bethencourt and Castro streets.

On the TF-322 they will go towards San Miguel, Las Candias and La Luz to then go up to La Perdoma, around 5:00 p.m., continue through San Antonio entering through the Institute and leaving through the roundabout of that neighborhood in the direction of Candelaria del Lomo . From there they will go down to Lercaro and return to El Mayorazgo, taking a different route through Sixto Perera González, Leonor Monteverde, Sabino Berthelot until they cross Avenida Iberoamericana towards Carmenaty.

It will be around 8:00 p.m. when the Paseo Real reaches the historic center passing through the streets Cologan, Inocencio García, Tomás Zerolo, Carrera, San Francisco, Hermano Apolinar, León, San Agustín towards the Plaza de la Constitución, Calvario, Obispo Benítez de Lugo , Sister Soledad Cobián, Miguel de Cervantes and Plaza de la Paz towards Paseo Domínguez Afonso. From there you will go to the Cruz de la Cebolla through José Estévez Méndez, Avenida Mercedes Pinto, Miguel Morales and Retamar urbanization to return along Paseo Domingo Afonso. The final section will take place around 9:00 p.m., crossing Obispo Benítez de Lugo and Emilio Luque Moreno Avenues and returning to the Doña Chana Cultural Park.

In each area they will spend half an hour before warning of the arrival of Their Majesties, who will go together in a royal carriage accompanied by Disney characters and their pages.
