Santa Cruz Opens Second Doctor Blas García Clinic

Santa Cruz de Tenerife welcomes a new landmark in aesthetic medicine with the opening of the second clinic of Doctor Blas García, located in Plaza de los Patos, within the building that previously housed the old Farmacia Castelo. The unveiling event took place last Friday at Hotel Mencey, attended by professionals from the sector, artists, and institutional representatives.

The clinic occupies a historic building designed by architect Mariano Estanga. Restored with respect for its heritage value, the property now hosts a project that transcends mere medical practice to offer a comprehensive aesthetic experience.

A Concept Beyond Medicine

Under the medical direction of Dr Nélida Díaz, a specialist in facial aesthetic medicine, this space has become the most advanced clinic in the Canary Islands for laser technology applied to non-invasive treatments. Furthermore, it serves as a contemporary art museum, featuring works that interact with the building’s modernist architecture. “Every face has a story. Our role is not just to beautify but to accompany individuals in their journey of inner transformation,” states Dr Díaz, whose career blends scientific rigor with clinical sensitivity.

Blas García: Surgery with an Artistic Vocation

Dr Blas García, the founder of the clinics bearing his name, is regarded as one of the foremost experts in ultrasonic rhinoplasty internationally. His career includes over 3,000 procedures and accolades such as the European Medical Award for Best Rhinoplasty Surgeon in Europe for three consecutive years.

“A good surgeon must possess skill but also a significant artistic development,” he asserts. This philosophy is reflected in every corner of the clinic, where aesthetics extend beyond medical results to the environment, human interaction, and the patient experience.

Trained at the University of Córdoba and with experiences in the United States, Mexico, and Brazil, Dr García introduced the ultrasonic rhinoplasty technique to Spain in 2016, revolutionising nasal surgery with a less invasive and more precise approach.

Technology, Art, and Heritage

The building housing the clinic was restored to preserve its original elements. This architectural recovery transforms the clinic into a venue where history meets cutting-edge design.

Contemporary art is not just a decorative addition but an integral part of the project. The works displayed in waiting rooms and communal areas are carefully selected to create an atmosphere of contemplation, beauty, and serenity.

Cutting-edge Aesthetic Medicine

The clinic offers personalised treatments such as mesotherapy, neurotoxins for wrinkles, facial fillers, platelet-rich plasma, and chemical peels, all performed with state-of-the-art equipment. The facilities are equipped for outpatient minor surgeries, ensuring safety and comfort.

The incorporation of advanced laser technology allows for procedures such as facial rejuvenation, stain removal, vascular treatments, medical hair removal, and skin remodelling with maximum precision.

A Transformative Experience

From the first consultation, patients are welcomed with warmth and professionalism. The medical team analyses each case in detail, proposing solutions that respect the identity and desires of every individual.

“We seek natural results but also aim to aid the inner rebirth of our patients following their exterior change,” Dr García explains.

The opening of this second clinic marks a milestone in aesthetic medicine in the Canary Islands. It is a space where cutting-edge technology serves human sensitivity, where historic architecture becomes a backdrop for transformation, and where art accompanies every step of the process.

In the words of Dr García: “Beauty is not a destination; it is a journey. And this centre invites you to embark on it with respect, art, and science.”
