Additionally, a new fire was declared on Saturday night in A Fonsagrada. According to the data from the Consellería do Medio Rural, the A Fonsagrada fire started at 02:25 on Saturday in the parish of O Trobo and is estimated to have affected an area of 20 hectares.

In the province of Lugo, the Pantón fire, located in the parish of Pombeiro, continues to be active and has destroyed 1,400 hectares, some of which have spread into the municipality of Sober after crossing the river Cabe. The Unidad Militar de Emergencias (UME) has been deployed to assist with extinguishing efforts. Throughout the night, they conducted direct attack missions on the fire to protect the locality of Nogueira and utilised machinery to reinforce and widen the perimeter.

Smoke from the fire has caused the complete closure of the LU-P-4103 from kilometre 0 in A Vila do Mato to kilometre 13 in A Estación in both directions. This fire originated near the railway tracks and has interrupted train services between Lugo and Ourense. According to Adif, an alternative road transport plan is in place.

O Bolo

Regarding the province of Ourense, the wildfire in O Bolo, located in the parish of Vilaseco, remains active and has burned 240 hectares. The UME is also collaborating in this particular fire.

Level 2 alert remains in effect due to the proximity of the flames to the Santa Cruz area. This measure was deactivated late Friday morning but had to be reactivated as weather conditions worsened.

Barreiros

Meanwhile, the fire in the municipality of Barreiros, in the parish of San Xusto de Cabarcos, remains under control and has affected an area of 140 hectares of wooded land.
