Man Injured in TF-5 Road Accident
A man was injured on Saturday on the TF-5 road, heading towards Santa Cruz de Tenerife, in the municipality of Tacoronte, after his vehicle left the roadway.
Incident Details
The incident occurred at approximately 11:49 when the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Canary Islands Government received an alert regarding the accident.
The injured individual sustained various moderate trauma, barring any complications, according to the initial assessments by the Canarian Emergency Services (SUC). Personnel from the SUC provided assistance and transported him in a basic life support ambulance to the University Hospital Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria.
Emergency Response
Emergency responders from the Tenerife Fire Consortium secured the accident vehicle and facilitated the man’s exit from the interior of the car. The Civil Guard was responsible for conducting the relevant investigation, while staff from the Tenerife Island Council’s Road Maintenance Service carried out cleaning operations on the roadway.
