Fire Breaks Out at Tenerife Environmental Complex

A fire that erupted on Wednesday night at the Tenerife Environmental Complex (PIRS), located in the municipality of Arico, has prompted the mobilisation of several firefighting resources to contain the flames.
According to reports from the Cabildo of Tenerife, the fire started in a cardboard storage area within the facility. Two fire engines with a capacity of 3,000 litres, as well as a water tanker, have been dispatched to the scene.
Additional Support on Standby
Furthermore, firefighting teams from the West zone and the municipality of Vilaflor have been placed on pre-alert status in case additional support is needed.
As of now, the fire has not affected other areas or key facilities within the plant, although a continuous assessment of the fire’s development is being maintained. Local authorities have assured that updates will be provided as new information becomes available.
