Agreement on R&D+i Between Communities
The President of the Canary Islands, Fernando Clavijo, and the Basque Lehendakari, Imanol Pradales, will sign a bilateral agreement in Tenerife this Thursday, focusing on the development of research, development, and innovation (R&D+i) in both autonomous communities.
Official Reception and Activities
The formal reception for the Lehendakari will take place shortly after 12:00 hours at the Government Presidency, featuring a musical performance in the courtyard that combines Canary and Basque instrumental fusion.
Following a customary family photo and just prior to 13:00 hours, the two presidents will sign the collaboration agreement and subsequently address the media.
Afternoon Visit to Teide Observatory
In the afternoon, from 16:30 hours, they will visit the Teide Observatory to observe the network of telescopes and hold a meeting with Valentín Martínez, Director of the IAC (Canary Islands Astrophysics Institute), and Emilio García, Advisor for the Coordination of the Canary Observatories (IAC).
