Two Arrested in Organised Crime Raid in Santa Cruz de Tenerife

At least two arrests made in UCO operation on Valle Inclán Street, involving dogs and a helicopter

Police Operation Details

Early on Wednesday morning, two individuals were arrested at number 7 Valle Inclán Street in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. This operation was carried out by the Civil Guard’s Organised Crime Unit between 4:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. Witnesses reported to Atlántico Hoy that a man and a woman were taken into custody at the building.

Sources indicate that the homes of the family members of one of the detainees were also searched, and a third arrest from the same family may have occurred. The operation involved a canine unit, and a Civil Guard helicopter surveyed the building around 6:00 a.m.

Drug Trafficking and Money Laundering Investigation

According to the newspaper El Día, this operation is linked to a drug trafficking and money laundering network. Witnesses described how the Organised Crime Unit left the premises carrying two boxes of evidence.

El Día further reports that the operation also resulted in the arrest of “a well-known entrepreneur from the hospitality and nightlife sector.” Additionally, offices belonging to his advisers and lawyers were also searched. El Día included an image of the Civil Guard in front of the Morín Hernández law firm located on Calderón de la Barca Street.
