The La Hucha supermarket, part of the Jesuman Commercial Group, reopened its store in El Tablero (Ctra. TF-256, Km 10) on Tuesday, 19th August, following a comprehensive refurbishment that modernised its facilities, enhanced the shopping experience, and reinforced its commitment to sustainability.
Among the key innovations is the new interior design, which is brighter and more functional, allowing customers to have a complete view of the entire supermarket from any point in the establishment. The shelving layout, now lower and more open, promotes not only product accessibility but also a sense of spaciousness and transparency in shopping, facilitating visual interaction among customers. The aisles have been reorganised to improve traffic flow and access to all products. The store continues to uphold the Jesuman Group’s philosophy of offering low prices every day, with a wide range of leading products, private labels, and locally sourced fresh food. Customers will find zero-kilometre products, sourced directly from local producers, alongside well-known brands at unbeatable prices.
The management of the Jesuman Group emphasised that the aim of the refurbishment is to centre the customer experience: “With this reopening, we want to provide a more modern, comfortable space tailored to their needs, while maintaining our essence of low prices and guaranteed quality,” they stated.
The new establishment has been designed under a comprehensive environmental sustainability plan that combines innovation with a close connection to the customer. Among its most notable measures are the “Recycle and Compensate” recycling machines, which allow users to return PET containers and cans and receive a small compensation in return, providing a simple way to encourage responsible habits and involve the community in environmental care.
In terms of energy efficiency, the store incorporates state-of-the-art LED lighting and intelligent systems, which reduce consumption without sacrificing comfort. Additionally, refrigeration is managed through an advanced glycol system, distributing cold more steadily and uniformly, with lower energy costs and without relying on harmful gases, thus ensuring optimal food preservation and a reduced environmental impact.
With this renovation, La Hucha Supermarkets not only modernises its facilities but also strengthens its commitment to the community, local economy, and environmental protection, positioning this supermarket as a model of innovation, trust, and sustainability in the food distribution sector. All of this is accomplished while maintaining traditional conveniences: personalised service in the butchery and delicatessen sections, free parking for customers, and flexible opening hours that include openings on Sundays and public holidays.
