Cocituber is one of the best-known food influencers in Spain. His videos reach thousands of people, and he has always shown a special love for the Canary Islands. In one of his latest recordings, he showcases one of the places where many believe one can find the best chicken in the Islands.
“I’m going to try the most famous chicken in Tenerife. Since 1962, they have been making it with a secret seasoning,” he indicates.
The influencer orders “the whole menu,” also expressing his fondness for the “Tenerife salads that are absolutely fantastic.” He also highlights “the wrinkled potatoes with mojo.”
Cocituber emphasises “the spicy sauce” and insists that this type of place, known as the chicken bar of Adeje (Oasis restaurant), is one of those that he “really enjoys.” “This is, for me, one of the most beautiful areas of Tenerife,” he stresses.
“I recommend it to everyone,” he concludes, before reiterating how “delicious it is” and emphasising that it’s worth travelling, like he does, “many miles” just to eat it.
@cocituber I love these places, the chicken is crazy delicious, plus very cheap, since 1962 in Adeje (Tenerife), Oasis #PlansOnTikTok ♬ original sound – Cocituber
“The chicken is absolutely amazing, mate”
“It’s absolutely amazing, mate.” With this phrase, Cocituber has sparked a real debate following the release of his latest video.
The influencer even asks, “Not ‘mate’, huh?”, anticipating the reactions that would follow from saying that word.
“Noooo mate, they don’t say ‘mate’!” points out Esther Cocinillas, another food influencer, leading the dozens of comments emphasising that in the Canary Islands, they say ‘muchacho’ and not ‘mate’, as many from the mainland claim.
“Mate ???? … Us Canarians say MUCHACHOOOO … cociiii cociiii,” warns another. Nevertheless, all of them are in very good spirits and thankful that the chicken from Adeje is so good for Cocituber.
