A 50-year-old cyclist was injured on Saturday following a collision with a car on the bridge crossing the TF-5 motorway, in the municipality of La Matanza de Acentejo, as reported by the Emergency and Safety Coordination Centre (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:04 hours, when the 1-1-2 operations room received an alert reporting the incident, prompting immediate activation of emergency resources to intervene in the area.
Upon arrival at the scene, medical staff from the Canary Emergency Service assessed and treated the affected individual, who had sustained moderately serious injuries, and transported them by ambulance to the Hospiten Bellevue University Hospital.
Meanwhile, the Civil Guard managed traffic on the road and completed the corresponding report.
