Tenerife Signs Galician Striker Noel López

Confirmation of Player Signing

The sporting director of CD Tenerife, Manu Guill, has confirmed this Thursday the permanent signing of Galician striker Noel López, aged 22. The player was on loan from Real Madrid Castilla to Osasuna B last season.

According to the Alicante-based official, the blanquiazul entity will announce this addition to the attacking line of the team coached by Álvaro Cervera in the coming hours.

Fast and Versatile Player

“We’re waiting to sign documents; this is a player coming in on a permanent deal. He was spectacular at Deportivo de La Coruña and is the typical fast player, someone who excels in space. In terms of speed, he has recorded the best stats in Primera Federación,” Guill explained during the presentation of players Álvaro González and Cris Montes on Thursday.

The sporting director of Tenerife added that Noel López will be “a very important asset,” recalling that Real Madrid paid a transfer fee to Deportivo for him. Given his attributes, he represents “a different profile” compared to Enric Gallego and De Miguel, meaning his signing effectively “closes” the discussion regarding the need for a fast striker to complement the two aforementioned players.

Squad Almost Finalised

On another note, Guill has confirmed that winger Alassan “has earned his place in the first team,” and that veteran players like José León and Maikel Mesa will not be leaving, contrary to earlier speculation.

“The departures have been clear to us for some time; we knew who they would be, and nothing has changed. Our roadmap is clear,” he stated regarding the players who will ultimately be leaving before the league commences.

Decisions and Discarded Players

Guill emphasised that the relationship with the coaching staff is “exceptional” as they work “hand in hand.” He assured that they will not be “married to anyone” when it comes to making cuts, which could even include players brought in this summer.
