The Civil Guard is investigating a 31-year-old man who was caught at a traffic checkpoint in Tacoronte while travelling as a passenger with 200 grams of hashish and 760 euros in cash.
The vehicle he was in was stopped by the Civil Guard officers for a routine inspection, at which point they noticed that the driver’s companion was displaying unusual behaviour and obvious signs of nervousness. Due to this behaviour, they proceeded to conduct a superficial search.
During the inspection, they found two pieces of hashish weighing 100 grams each among his clothing, as well as the cash.
The actions taken have been submitted to the Court of First Instance and Instruction number 4 in La Laguna.
