A 79-year-old bather has been evacuated by ambulance in critical condition after being rescued from the water this Monday at the pier beach in Puerto de la Cruz.
Personnel from the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) managed to revive the cardiac arrest that this bather experienced, who was initially assisted by other individuals before the arrival of the medical staff.
Once stabilised, the man was evacuated by ambulance to Bellevue hospital, according to sources from 112 Canarias.
Local Police and National Police agents took charge of the necessary proceedings.
