The Cabildo of Tenerife, through the Department of Roads, will continue this Sunday with the works for the improvement and rehabilitation of the road surface of the South motorway (TF-1) until Thursday, between El Porís (kilometre 37), Tajao (kilometre 47) and Abades (kilometre 45), from 21:00 hours to 06:00 hours.
The works will involve the closure of the right lane and, occasionally, the closure of the central lanes in both directions, with the outer lanes being designated for traffic diversion, as reported by the Cabildo in a statement.
Therefore, road users are advised to exercise extreme caution and to follow the instructions of the Roads personnel and the signage in the area where the improvement works will take place.
In addition to the renewal of the road surface, the project includes other complementary activities such as the installation of audible strips at the edges of the road and the raising of crash barriers and the central reservation.
The project also encompasses the installation of reflective road studs, complete repainting of the horizontal signage, the installation of rigid concrete barriers, and the placement of edge barriers on the bridges.
