The Cabildo de Tenerife, through the Highways Department, will continue this Sunday with the improvement and rehabilitation works on the surface of the South motorway (TF-1) until Thursday, between El Porís (kilometre 37), Tajao (kilometre 47), and Abades (kilometre 45), from 21:00 hours to 06:00 hours.
The works will involve the closure of the right lane and, occasionally, the closure of the central lanes in both directions, with the outer lanes being used for traffic diversion, as informed by the Cabildo in a statement.
Therefore, road users are advised to exercise extreme caution and to follow the directions of the Highways personnel and the signage in the area where the improvement works will take place.
Other Measures
In addition to the surface renewal, the project includes other complementary measures such as the execution of sound bands on the edges of the carriageway and the raising of the safety barriers and central reservation.
It also includes the placement of reflective road studs, the complete repainting of the road markings, the installation of rigid concrete barriers, and the placement of parapets on the bridges.
