The Cabildo of Tenerife will carry out resurfacing works on the TF-1 motorway and the TF-65 road in Los Abrigos. The improvement works on the southern motorway will begin at 22:00 this Sunday, with an expected completion time of 06:00 this Monday.
The work will take place over a distance of five kilometres between Las Chafiras and Granadilla (km 62+000-km 57+000) and will involve cutting the left lane towards Santa Cruz, as reported by the island institution in a press release.
Furthermore, the Cabildo of Tenerife has requested users of the road to exercise extreme caution and to follow the instructions of the Road personnel and the signage in the area where the improvement works will take place.
The institution has emphasised the fundamental nature of these works on the TF-1, as it is one of the main communication arteries on the island, handling a daily traffic volume of over 70,000 vehicles.
In addition to the road surface renewal, the project includes other complementary works such as the installation of audible road markings on the edges of the roadway, raising of the crash barriers and median, placement of light reflectors; complete repainting of the horizontal signage, installation of rigid concrete barriers and the placement of parapets on the bridges.
Works on the TF-65
Meanwhile, the works on the TF-65 will take place this Monday, between 07:00 and 15:00 hours, involving the closure of an alternate lane. Specifically, the road surface rehabilitation will occur between kilometre points 2+000 and 3+000 on the road of Los Abrigos.
