TEA Tenerife Espacio de las Artes will feature this weekend, at 19:00 hours, Myocardium, a film by José Manuel Carrasco that blends comedy, drama, and melancholy to explore reunions and past wounds. The film, starring Marina Salas, Vito Sanz, Pilar Bergés, and Luis Callejo, premiered in the Rampa section of the Seville Film Festival.
Music
Dominican singer Juan Luis Guerra arrives in Tenerife this Sunday, 27th July, to get thousands of his fans on the island dancing. The artist, who popularised rhythms such as bachata and merengue, will be joined by his band 4.40 for a concert at the Santa Cruz de Tenerife dock area. The show will start at 21:00 hours.
Commemoration of 25th July
Santa Cruz de Tenerife will hold various events this weekend to commemorate the Commemoration of 25th July. Saturday will be dedicated to historical re-enactments at the camp, located in the Alameda del Duque de Santa Elena. Activities such as the Banderín de Enganche, Avancarga demonstration, artillery display, and military instruction will also take place. The highlight of Saturday will arrive at 21:00 hours with the Parade and Nightly Historical Recreation.
On Sunday, at 12:00 hours, the Act of Signing the Capitulations will take place, which includes a historical narration and a theatrical representation, alongside the presentation of the 2025 Gesta Medals to the Santa Cruz Local Police for the 185th anniversary of its foundation, and to the town of La Orotava for its role in the city’s defence against Nelson’s men.

On Sunday, the Teatro Leal in La Laguna will host, at 10:00 hours, the last session of Murder at the Leal, a theatrical route presented in the form of a treasure hunt, inspired by the crime plots of Agatha Christie, blending reality and fiction in a tour of the 1930s Teatro Leal. Designed and led by historian Néstor Verona, the visit involves Antonio Conejo, Eduardo Feria, and Sigrid Ojel, highlighting the historical and cultural values of the arts temple in La Laguna.

‘Así Somos’, the new show by Omayra Cazorla, arrives this Saturday, at 20:30 hours, at the Auditorio Infanta Leonor, in Arona. The artist invites you to laugh and reflect on life throughout the performance. A unique experience combining humour, social critique, and lots of energy.
