Once again, the nearby residents of Santa Cruz, close to the migrants’ centre located where the Tenerife I prison once stood, are witnessing with astonishment and logical alarm events taking place there. A man, presumably a migrant housed in the centre, has been perched on the wall separating the two currently existing facilities, namely Mercedes Pinto and the CAED, for several hours.
Witnesses have reported to this newspaper that this incident began in the afternoon today and continues into the early hours of the night, despite the efforts made by the staff of these centres and members of the Local Police and National Police, who have been dispatched to the area to persuade him to desist from such a reckless act.

Due to his continued defiance and the evident danger posed to his own physical safety, a unit from the Fire Consortium has just arrived on the scene. Thus, the possibility of reaching the location of the man and somehow bringing him to safety cannot be ruled out.
