The Department of Works, Infrastructure and Accessibility of the Town Hall of La Laguna will begin on Monday, 21 July, the improvement and resurfacing works of the San Benito roundabout, one of the main accesses to the city. The works will take place during daytime and nighttime hours and are expected to last for five days.
During the execution of the works, there will be traffic disruptions at various access points and nearby roads, depending on the progress of the work. The contracting company will be responsible for promptly informing about the available access points and changes in traffic.
Confirmed points of disruption include the General North Road, San Lázaro path, Marqués de Celada Street, and the Avenues of La Candelaria and Embajador Alberto de Armas. In addition, access will be redirected from the TF-152 via Amanecer Street and El Tornero path, measures that have already been communicated to the residents of the area.
These actions also include the inspection and improvement of the drainage systems that converge from La Candelaria Avenue. The duration of the works is linked to the size of the roundabout and the complexity of the preparatory tasks, which have been scheduled to take advantage of the end of the 2024-2025 school year and the conclusion of the main events of the San Benito Abad 2025 Festivities and Pilgrimage.
The intervention area connects with the San Lázaro environment and the General North Road, and is located near facilities such as IES San Benito, the Integrated Professional Training Centre CIFP La Laguna, the San Benito Sports Complex, and the public park of the same name.
The Town Hall requests caution and understanding regarding the inconveniences caused by these necessary works for the conservation and maintenance of the roads.
