Artbat is a Ukrainian duo of DJs and producers formed by Artur Kryvenko and Vitaliy “Batish” Limarenko, who hail from Kyiv. They met in 2014 at a local club (The LAB), and just three months after they started working together, they recorded the hit “Mandrake” (2015), which was supported for a whole year by Richie Hawtin. Since then, they have been a constant presence on renowned labels like Diynamic and Afterlife, and in 2021, they launched their own label, Upperground.
Their sound combines techno and melodic house, characterised by deep melodies, powerful rhythms, and polished production, which has led to comparisons with genre references.
