Gofio prepared in the bag
Water is added to the bag, adding more as needed. The movement with the bag is as follows: Shake the bag in the air and then knead it against the thigh; repeat until it reaches the required consistency. Then shape the gofio into balls.
Ingredients:
½ kg of gofio, ½ litre of cold water.
Sweet gofio
Almonds are briefly immersed in boiling water, just long enough so that once cooled, the skins can be removed. They are then sliced. The raisins are pitted or replaced with Corinthian raisins, although the larger ones are preferred. All the ingredients are mixed in a bowl, kneading them well until thoroughly combined. Then the gofio is shaped into balls.
Ingredients:
½ kg of gofio, 125 g of almonds, 125 g of raisins, 1 small glass of honey.
