Head Injury from Rock Fall on Remote Beach in Santa Úrsula

A 56-year-old woman was evacuated this Sunday from the coast of Santa Ursula after a rock fell on her head.

The incident occurred shortly after 12:45 when the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Canary Islands Government received an alert informing that a rock had fallen on a difficult-to-access beach and a woman had been injured on the head.

Tenerife firefighters were dispatched to the scene, located the affected woman, and accompanied her on foot to where the ambulance could arrive.

SUC staff assessed and provided initial assistance to the injured woman, who had sustained a moderate head injury, and she was transported by ambulance to Hospiten Bellevue.
